Lake Powell Concert Association, Inc (LPCA) is an all volunteer non profit 501c3 corporation that each year provides a series of cultural performances for the City of Page and the surrounding area of Le Chee, Kaibeto, Greenhaven, Church Wells and Big Water. While the organization began informally with the beginning of the City of Page in 1959, it began formally in 1975 with the opening of the Cultural Arts Building adjacent to the High school. LPCA’s mission is to provide educational opportunities and cultural events for the enrichment and enjoyment of the Page residents and the surrounding area.

Since education is the primary focus of LPCA, a portion of the monies raised for artist fees are allocated for School Residencies. These residencies include workshops, assemblies and performance opportunities for students k-12. The students have opportunities to work directly with the artists and perform on stage with the performers. During the 2008-09 season, LPCA provided 6 concerts which provided over 1200 students with opportunities to experience live performances and workshops during each concert, totally over 3600 Student opportunities.
The Cultural Arts Building seats up 800 for each performance and the schools Stage Manager, Rebecca Miller, helps to coordinate stage needs for each performance This totals up to 4800 persons able to have cultural experiences during the performances for the year. Add this to the number of educational opportunities and one comes up with 8100 total cultural experiences
Since this an all volunteer organization, LPCA relies on its Grants, Sponsorships, Donations and Box Office sales for its support. This support is indispensable. This year we offer only two types of sponsorships, general and business, along with our donations. See the following pages for details about sponsorships, a list of current sponsors and details about our donors. |
